Fourth of July fireworks may be over, but Canadian and Alaskan wildfires pose a serious health threat here in the Midwest.  Every 4th of July, there is a short term spike in fine particulate matter and now with smoke from wildfires drifting this way … the air quality poses a real threat to asthma sufferers.  Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist, Bill Barkman, MD at The University of Kansas Hospital warns what to do and who is most at risk.
