            By all accounts, this has been one of the milder winters in the Midwest in several years. While that lack of snow shoveling has been a blessing for most of us, for others it means spring allergies are coming all the sooner.

            Dr. Selina Gierer is an allergist at The University of Kansas Hospital. She says these seasonal allergies are common, but not always easy to predict which ones will affect allergy sufferers the most. She has a doctor’s advice on what medicine, both prescription and over the counter, you should try. And she explains how to tell when it’s time to see your doctor about allergies.
