The traditional start of flu season is just weeks away, and The University of Kansas Hospital is prepared with a shipment of 39,000 vaccines just delivered to its pharmacy.

Dr. Lee Norman, chief medical officer of the hospital, says about 30,000 people in the United States will die from the flu this year, far more than illnesses in the news like Ebola and West Nile Virus. In the video, Dr. Norman explains why everyone should get the flu shot, whether he has concerns about the vaccine, how safe is the shot and why health care workers in particular should be vaccinated.
