The first COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer arrived today at The University of Kansas Health System and frontline workers immediately began receiving vaccinations.
The first person to get the vaccine was Mary Ann Copeland, a respiratory therapist, who works daily with patients in the COVID-19 unit.
The video contains interviews with several staff members who were among the first to receive the vaccine, plus b-roll of the vaccine being unloaded and prepared for distribution as well as b-roll of those receiving the vaccine.
The interviews, in order, are with Mary Ann Copeland, respiratory therapy, Casey Pickering, ICU Nurse Manager, Dr. Todd Crane, emergency medicine, Genevieve Mattingly, RN, cystic fibrosis nurse and Brandon Low, respiratory therapy.
