Kansas City, Kan- Dr. Doug Burton, a top spine surgeon diagnosed with glioblastoma in 2023, shared his journey of treatment, including brain surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy in Germany.

Dr. Roy Jensen, Vice Chancellor and Director of The University of Kansas Cancer Center, highlighted the center's $85 million in cancer research funding, up from $14 million in 2004, and the expansion of clinical programs.

The Head for the Cure 5K event, which has raised $30 million nationwide, was discussed, emphasizing its role in raising awareness and funds for brain cancer research.

Dr. Burton's resilience and gratitude were underscored, along with the importance of community support and hope.
