A Gardner, Kansas family got more than the joy of having a baby girl early on New Years Day.
Kayleigh (KAY-lee) May Shipman, born at 4:23 this morning to Cassaundra and Brandon Shipman, got a special gift basket from The Kansas City Chiefs for being the first baby of the year born at The University of Kansas Hospital. The hospital is the official healthcare provider for the Chiefs, and the football club wanted the baby and parents to have a basket of necessities and some Chiefs baby clothers to celebrate the birth.
This is the Shipman’s second child.
The family said they were thrilled with both arrivals.
