Free Skin Cancer Screenings on Melanoma Monday

Monday, May 1st, is Melanoma Monday, when people can check to see if that mole is just a mole or cancerous melanoma.  The University of Kansas Health System is conducting 100 free melanoma checks on Monday.  Their list fills up quickly.  But, Dr. Gary Doolittle, oncologist with the health system points out that the risks are too serious to wait for a free screening.  In the video, Doolittle says get to a doctor as soon as you see something suspicious on your skin because melanoma can be fatal if not caught in time.  In addition to Dr. Doolittle, there is video from previous Melanoma Mondays.
