Future Royals Stars Visit The University of Kansas Hospital

On the day after the Kansas City Royals clinched their first-ever Central Division title, a group of the team’s minor league players of the year visited patients at The University of Kansas Hospital. The group visited patients in pediatrics, cardiology and rehabilitation.

The video includes sound with outfielder Jose Martinez, Royals AAA Omaha player of the year, who talks about what visits like this mean to the players. Also on video is Toby Cook, Royals Vice President of Community Affairs, who explains why it’s good for young players like these to become involved in the community. The players are also shown visiting patients in the pediatric unit.
