Helping Kids Handle Halloween Fear

No doubt about it, Halloween is a fun time for children and adults. But many parents wonder what’s right for their kids. While there are many resources with age appropriate Halloween tips for kids, Dr. Stephen Lassen, a child psychologist at The University of Kansas Health System, says ultimately, the parents who know their child best, need to decide what’s appropriate.

In the video, Dr. Lassen explains at what age children understand the difference between fun, made up fear and real-life fear. He has advice on what you should let your children see and do on Halloween, and how to know how much is too much for your child.
