Plenty of team spirit and stories to tell following the World Series Royals win on both the Mother and Baby and Neo-Intensive Care Units at The University of Kansas Hospital. One couple arrived just before the game thinking their baby was on the way. Nurses told them it was a false alarm. They eagerly went home to watch the game and saw the first pitch, last inning and game celebrations before the baby decided to come in earnest. The parents are now trying to decide between four Royals names for their newborn son: Ben, Eric, Alex or Wade. Many of the parents were sporting Royals apparel, too, and received the infant hats in celebration … courtesy of the hospital.
