Dr. Vincent Key, an orthopedic surgeon, performed the surgery, using a tendon from her forearm. Lael's recovery involved mental and emotional support from her family and friends. Dr. Key highlighted the importance of prehab, rest, and maintaining a strong kinetic chain to prevent such injuries.
