    The University of Kansas Health System is treating 72 total COVID patients today, up from 64 yesterday. Other significant numbers:

  • 9 with the active virus, 12 yesterday
  • 0 in ICU, 0 yesterday
  • 0 on ventilators, 0 yesterday
  • 63 hospitalized but out of acute infection phase, 52 yesterday

Doctors noted this is the first time since July of last year that the number of active infections dropped below 10. The last time total patient numbers were in the teens was March of 2021.
