Opening Day 2015 not only celebrates the exciting post season of the Kansas City Royals last fall, it also marks the fifth season The University of Kansas Hospital as its Official Healthcare Provider.
Royals General Manager Dayton Moore says he believes the closeness between the hospital medical team, the training staff and the ballclub is unique in the major leagues.
Moore says the close coordination of all aspects of the player’s care helps the team stay healthy. He also noted The University of Kansas has set a standard for care of the fans at Kauffman Stadium.
