Stay Home, Stay Safe, Save Lives!

Regional media participated in a joint phone interview with doctors from The University of Kansas Health System.  Dana Hawkins, MD, medical director of infection prevention and control told reporters half the population including their workforce is forecasted to get COVID-19 … unless they can help spread the word for the community to stay home.  Steve Stites, MD, chief medical officer explained the choice is simple … we can be another ‘Italy’ or we can all do our part to beat the novel coronavirus.

In the interview, doctors explain we are just days behind the scenario that’s playing out in New York City … but we have significant differences and opportunities.

Tomorrow, doctors will make themselves available at 1pm for more questions and to update the current state of the virus and the risk.

Friday, March 20 call is at 2 pm.
