Zika Virus - The Future For Babies Impacted at Birth

There is so much about the impact of the  Zika Virus on newborns we just don’t know, according to Stephen Lauer, MD, vice chair of pediatrics at The University of Kansas Hospital.  Dr. Lauer says we don’t know what percentage of pregnant women who get the Zika Virus result in babies with brain birth defects.  Dr. Lauer says we can provide educated guesses on how the severely impacted children will do after they are born based on babies with other brain birth defects.
