Four months after Taesha Benson gave her left kidney to her boyfriend Travis Spire-Sweet as an early Valentine’s present at The University of Kansas Hospital in February, Travis popped the question at a Royals'game. During the Royals-Cardinals game at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Travis threw out the first pitch to Taesha in honor of Organ Transplant and Donor Awareness Night. Immediately afterward, he thanked her for giving him a future, and then asked for her heart with a proposal.
